Most of the names in this story are translated from Danish. Or were variations of latin from the start, but sounds less silly in Danish combined with the gods professions (The Danish word for Vanity is not that close to the latin phrase).
The last two pages were hard for me to translate, as much of the humour in it relied on Danish phrases.
