I’m not sure if this is a thing outside Denmark, but here it’s a holiday tradition to stay in summer houses in pretty surroundings far our on the country. Often the summer houses are near the ocean, and made into small summer house villages.
It’s a reoccurring problem, that people will take in little kittens while at the summer house, and then leave them once they leave after the vacation. This family got a dog instead.
